This set of 2 dead blow hammers feature hollow heads filled with loose steel shot, designed to spread the force of impact seconds after the hammer face hits the surface, to deliver heavy and controlled blows without rebound. The resulting ‘dead’ blow allows for controlled use of maximum impact force whilst minimising damage to the struck surface, ideal for knocking joints together or apart without denting wooden components. An indispensable workshop tool, these hammers are also suitable for machine and tool repair, chosen over steel or iron heads due to the soft, non-marring faces.
The single-piece steel heads and handles feature a tough polyurethane coating with D45 shore hardness for excellent impact and indentation resistance. The soft, rubberised handle features a textured non-slip grip and an end cap for increased security in the hand. Supplied as set of 2, head diameters are 35mm and 45mm, with both heads measuring 90mm in length. The 35mm hammer weighs 525g with the 45mm hammer weighing 715g. ©
