This kit combines an exceptional finish nailer with a premium performance, compact, low noise compressor which has been specifically designed for nailing operations. It also features 10 metres of highly flexible, non marring air hose and all necessary quick connection fittings.
The 18g brad nailer is designed for furniture production and assembly, finish and decorative trim work and fine cabinet making. 18g pins have greater pull-out resistance and overall strength than headless 23g pins so they are excellent for cabinet making where a stronger construction is required to resist loading. The 18g brads measure 1.0mm in diameter and have fine heads that displace minimal material allowing you to drive tight up to an edge without risk of splitting the wood. Unlike other brad nailers, this nailer features a precision machined cylinder and piston valve, which when you squeeze the trigger results in ultra-smooth and exceptionally powerful firing of the driving pin. There is virtually no kick back in the hand, even when firing into exotic hardwoods with 50mm pins, leaving a fractional hole that can simply be filled.
The side loading magazine is easy to fill and is made from machined aluminium, accepting 18 gauge nails, measuring 19mm, 25mm, 32mm, 38mm and 50mm in length. A swivel coupling prevents the hose from tangling and interfering with the workpiece. The brad nailer operates at 5 to 7 bar pressure and can be used up to 8 bar when firing brads into dense hardwoods. The narrow nose design allows for access to tight areas and angles, and the soft polymer tip prevents marring of contoured faces. Precision engineering tolerances on the nose of the brad nailer ensure for a near jam-free operation and tool longevity and in the event of a jam the front nose has a quick release mechanism to allow for fast access and nail removal. As a safety feature, the firing mechanism will not operate until the nose of the nailer is depressed on the work piece.
The Rutlands® premium performance compressor has been specifically designed for use with nail guns. With its class leading 59 dB rating, it is ultra-quiet allowing for a comfortable working environment in the workshop or on site. The 750W induction motor is maintenance free and offers minimal levels of vibration, delivering up to 55 litres of air per minute, from 0 to 9 bar pressure.
It features two pressure gauges, one to measure the pressure in the tank and the other to measure the output pressure going to the tool. Auto re-start technology ensures that the tank is automatically refilled with air to ensure that the output bar pressure to the tool remains constant during use. To adjust the output pressure you simply rotate the control dial to suit the tool in hand. The pressure release valve allows for air to be removed from the tank when not in use to prevent moisture.
Compact in design, with a footprint of 365mm x 380mm this compressor can comfortably be carried with one hand and its wrap around frame protects the 4 litre tank from damage in transit. The no-mar rubber feet ensure that the compressor remains firmly in position during use. This is an excellent, professional, low noise compressor specifically engineered for use with nail guns.
Unlike conventional compressor hoses that are stiff, unwieldy and tangle or twist easily, this new 10 metre flexi-hose is excellent to work with. It is manufactured from a blend of polymer that has no spool memory, so it will not recoil and lies flat in use. It is extremely strong and highly resistant to splitting and abrasion and remains flexible even in very cold temperatures. The hose is supplied with two female quick connectors and two male plugs, allowing for the secure press fit connections to pneumatic tools. ©
