This professional scroll saw is designed for making intricate cuts that are both clean and burn free. The quiet running, motor with variable speed control between 550 to 1500 strokes per minute, provides the flexibility to work with a variety of materials. The switch and speed control knob are positioned at the front of the arm for easy access and adjustment.
The arm tilts 45° in both directions, leaving the table horizontal and your workpiece level for greater control and more precise cuts. This eliminates the need to support the material and greatly improves sawing visibility and safety. The large, 541mm x 349mm, steel table gives maximum work piece support and features an epoxy, anti-friction coating for smooth workpiece movement.
The upper and lower, lightweight blade clamps are specifically engineered to reduce vibration and stress on the saw. The clamps accept both plain and pinned blades, with fast tool-free blade change on the latter, finely tensioned by a conveniently positioned and easy to turn knob. For pierced work the upper arm can be raised to thread the blade through the hole in the workpiece. The blade guard is easily adjustable and has a capacity of 50mm.
A multi-positional air blower keeps the cutting line clear and a 32mm dust port sits directly below the blade for maximum efficiency when connected to an extractor. The dust port is transparent to view any blockages and is hinged for easy access to the lower blade clamp. With its steel body and table, the saw weighs 20kg, giving it the mass to dampen vibration and provide a very strong and stable work surface. A blade storage compartment is located on the side of the body. Supplied with two 18tpi blades.
